On any Google search, there are two main areas that display your search results. The first box that appears is the paid, or sponsored, section that displays the 3 highest paying advertisers for the given search result.
The next section contains the Organic Search Results. These are the sites that Google finds the most relevant and most authoritative for a given keyword. Depending on the search, Google may include local search results in the organic section. This group of listings is pulled from Google’s business directory and can add another vote of trust to your business if you are found there.
Organic Optimization is building the Authority and Relevance of your website through SEO Strategies that generate positive value for your online presence. Being found organically is a long term business marketing strategy, as opposed to Pay-Per-Click, which is an advertising mechanism.
Once a website is found in the Organic section of the search results, it will be where people click most of the time, and all of those clicks will not only be free to your company, it will result in a higher conversion rate on your site because of where the visitor found you.
Most people who click on an advertisement know that they are “being sold” something. They know in the back of their head that someone is paying to have their website shown on that search result and they are only doing it to make a buck. When someone clicks on the organic results, their thoughts are different. In fact, when your website shows up in the Organic section, it is an instant vote of trust for your visitor. It is like getting a referral from Google. Google is saying that the first page results are the very best that the internet has to offer for a particular keyword, and that speaks volumes. It means that your company is seen as the expert. You did not buy the first page position through advertising, you are there because you are the best.
Organic Optimization is the ultimate goal of SEO. Sure there are other ways to generate traffic to a website, but none convert at a higher rate than showing up on the firsst page of the search results for your target keywords.
